Requirements

  • Blender 4.2 or newer

  • Supported platforms: Windows (x64, ARM64), macOS (ARM64), Linux (x64)

Installing the Extension per Drag and Drop

Section Pro is distributed as a Blender extension (.zip). If you got Section Pro on Superhive (formerly Blender Market), you can install it directly per drag and drop:

  1. Go to your Orders page on Superhive

  2. Find your Section Pro order and click Go to Downloads.

  3. Follow the instructions to setup your Superhive remote repository, then drag and drop the marked field into Blender.

Installing the Extension Manually

  1. Download the Section Pro .zip file.

  2. Open Blender and go to Edit → Preferences → Get Extensions.

  3. Click the ⋮ (dropdown) button at the top-right of the Extensions panel and choose Install from Disk…

  4. Select the downloaded .zip file and click Install from Disk.

  5. Section Pro will appear in the installed extensions list and is enabled automatically.

Note

Do not unzip the file before installing. Blender expects the original .zip archive.

Accessing the Panel

After installation, open the 3D Viewport, press N to open the sidebar, and select the Section Pro tab.

The panel contains three main sub-panels:

  • Sections – Create and manage section cuts.

  • Drawings – Create and manage 2D line drawings (visible after creating a section).

  • Views – Manage named view configurations (visible after creating a section).

Uninstalling

  1. Go to Edit → Preferences → Get Extensions (or Add-ons in older builds).

  2. Find Section Pro in the list.

  3. Click Remove or disable the toggle to deactivate it.

Note

Removing the addon does not delete Section Pro data that is already saved in your .blend files. However, Section Pro operators and panels will no longer be available until the addon is reinstalled.
